You get a full lesson from an experienced dancer who actually loves the dance and the music. You won't be made to look silly, although it's fun and something to tell your friends about. Don't think for one moment you need to be built like Shakira to be able to belly dance, neither do you need show any body parts you may prefer to keep covered! The lesson is usually - and recommended to be - before the meal and before a significant amount of alcohol is consumed. Belly dancing is better performed whilst still upright! There's a proper warm up and a cool down to ensure you don't strain anything. Music is supplied and a coin belt is loaned for the duration of the class. Frequently the belly dance lesson is kept as a complete surprise to the bride and guests. This adds a great deal to the enjoyment of the occasion. We really want you to have a great time with something you may even wish to take up as a hobby. To avoid disappointment, contact us soon to turn a hen night idea into a fun filled reality.
What Happens at a Belly Dance Hen Night?Dianne is available in the North Norfolk area for bellydance classes especially tailored for hen night groups. Her class is basic enough for the raw beginner, although quite a number of basic Egyptian dance moves are covered during the class. Learn about her weekly belly dancing lessons in North Norfolk. She begins with a warm-up and ends with cool down including stretches, and she stresses posture and safety throughout the class so nobody should be at any risk of injury. If any member of the group has any existing injury that might affect their ability to dance they should discuss it with the teacher briefly and opt to "sit it out" (maybe taking photographs) rather than take any undue risks. Dianne has aimed to bring the right balance of fun and learning to the hen weekend class. As the time slot for the class is often inflexible due to the hens' other commitments, the class tends to barrell along at quite a pace, with some limited opportunity for the students to ask questions. However the teacher cannot afford to pause for too long helping out individuals or taking time talking about the intricacies of certain movements. If a hen night student finds themselves absolutely captivated by the movements, music and style of Arabic Dance it is hoped she will find a regular local class to enjoy and to explore Egyptian dance in more detail and at a more leisurely pace. The class ends with teacher and students bringing together the moves they have learned into a fun and exciting choreography. There is a festive and celebratory feel to the end of the class with a definite "Look Ma, I'm dancin'!" vibe. The class is encouraged to make noise in the form of the Arabic "zagreet" ululation, prior to a cool-down to stretch the muscles and prepare the ladies for the rest of their hen evening, night and weekend.
